When I first gave my life to Jesus, I discovered Proverbs 3:5-6, and I clung to those verses with such anticipation:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
Those verses helped to remind me to trust Jesus, no matter what came my way.
A whole lot came my way that first year especially, and I continued to cling to that promise with such hope and anticipation.
Recently I have been dealing with a situation that keeps happening with one of my kids. He tends to doubt that I know where I’m going when I drive to a new place. Once we arrive, he can get very anxious and doesn’t want to get out of the car in case I made a mistake and arrived at the wrong house or building. He only finally relaxes when he can see with his own eyes that I didn’t make a mistake after all.
