I woke up the other morning with the phrase, “God is my Keeper” in my heart.
I looked up some synonyms to the word keeper, and I found: guardian, overseer, and caretaker.
Are you in need of a guardian, overseer, or caretaker?
I know I am!
I think we are always in need of a keeper; sometimes we just don’t realize it or acknowledge it.
I am in one of those seasons where I am very aware of the fact that I need Him in my life in this way. When I don’t keep my eyes on Jesus, I tend to wander off in other directions very quickly, without even realizing it.
How about you?
It can be easy to get distracted by even “good” things in our lives.
Psalm 121:5 says, “The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.”
He watches over us. He stands beside us as our protective shade. He keeps us.
I don’t know what season of life you are in right now, but this verse greatly encourages me!
- Are you weary?
- Are you lonely?
- Are you in pain (physically or emotionally – or both)?
- Are you grieving?
- Are you distraught and just plain tired?
He is your keeper.
Have you run out from under His protective covering? Turn back and run to Him. Now is the time to run to Him and never turn back.
He will keep you.
He’s the one who made your heart. He will not reject you. Your heart is safe with Him.
